RESTAURANT SLIDE SHOW
Thank you for stopping by, the Restaurant Slideshow computer allows you to display images of your menu, dishes, business cards, etc. on a TV in your restaurant, big images your customers can see! Not only you'll be able to display pictures related to your restaurant, but also your customer's business cards, here's how that works: A customer of yours may inquire about how to advertise his business card on the TV, you let him know that the service is on a one month at a time basis, also let him know the cost. We don't have yearly plans, only one month a time, meaning customer will have to come back next month and submit his card again with the payment. We only do one month a time, we are not responsible if a restaurant decides to honor a customer's payment for more than one month. We will not honor it on our end, we don't do contracts. You set the advertising cost of your customer's business cards, this is where your profit is; but we'll charge you $5 per card/per month for the first 20 images (or cards) and $10 for each additional image (or card). Every month you'll email us your menu images and your customer's business cards, it is critical to establish a regular date every month, for reliablity of service and proper invoicing. How do you start? Sign up first, there's no upfront payment Become a JB Digital customer first, click on the HOME page and then click on the New Customer link, fill out the information and send. Once we get your information, we'll email you with information on how to send your pictures; since there are two types of images, they will need to be sent in two different ways, let me explain: A restaurant would want to display images of the restaurant, menu, dishes, etc. these are pictures that are taken with a camera and then uploaded to a computer, since they're on a computer or on a camera they can be sent to us via email, it's just practical, see email address below: The other type of images are your customer's business cards, scanning the business cards and processing them so they display the correct size and color tone on the TV can be a tedious process, in particular if you don't have the equipment or a procedure in place for them, that's why we recommend you just put them in an envelope and send them to us, we'll take care of that part, once we do that, we'll ask you to restart the computer, and the new business cards will begin displaying. Number of pictures It is recommended that you use at least 15 images to display restaurant related pictures and another 15 to display your customer's business cards, for a total of 30; this number is flexible, but there are two factors to consider, the first one is how many times would you like customers to see the same business card? Let's dive a little more, say your average customer visit takes about 25 minutes, if you have 30 images where each changes every 15 seconds, the same picture will be visible to your customers 3 times per customer visit, this is the exposure rate. The more images the less visibility, if you have 50 images, that visibilty goes down to 2 times per customer visit, at 60 images the same card may only be seen 1 time, maybe twice. Another way to look at the exposure rate is per day, instead of customer visit, how many times will a given business card show on the TV per day, say 7 hours: 30 cards will show 56 times (14 min of daily exposure per card) 40 cards will show 42 times (10 min of daily exposure per card) 50 cards will show 33 times (8 min of daily exposure per card) 60 cards will show 28 times (7 min of daily exposure per card) Regardless of the number you choose, the limite is 95, see the stats: 95 cards will show 17 times (4 min of daily exposure per card) As you can see, the number of cards is something to consider, I would say between 30 and 40 is your green band, and course you could advertise more. The other factor to consider is the mechanical, will the computer and the network connection be able to handle it, we have tested with 30 images without issues and think the machine as well as most network connections can handle close to 100 cards, so in theory both factors are not really constrains, but elements to keep in mind should something fail. What are the benefits? Primarily income on both sides; but in terms of customer value: The first slide shows the name of your restaurant and the time, some people like to keep track of time, understantable, pictures of your menu, dishes and such, they can certainly become an incentive for them to come back and try a new dish, you may advertise also a room for getherings or a community event. After that comes your customer's business cards, you won't miss these business cards, almost as big as your TV, and below each a link for customers who would like to have it on their cell phones. The last slide advertises the business card service to your customers, making it easy to get more customers. How does payment work? Once your Restaurant Slide Show computer is up and running, we'll create an invoice for the current month, which is due 5 days prior to the next cycle, if we don't receive payment by the last day of the cycle, then the functionality of your Restaurant Slide Show computer will be reduced to just menu related images for the next 15 days, if not payment is received, we'll request our Restaurant Slide Show computer to be sent back to us. Keep in mind that a delay payment will delay the posting of the images that correspond to the next month, basically pushes the cycle. Business cards per customer There's no discount for each additional card submitted by your customers, in fact, our service is to you "the restaurant", not to your customers directly, you set the prices for your customers, so it's up to you if you wish to provide any discounts. Our rate is flat, $5 for each card (image) up to 20 images at this rate, and $10 for each additional card (image), all rates are per month. What if something fails? Once we verify that your Restaurant Slide Show computer is running properly, you'll have 5 days to determine if you're satisfied with it or not, at which point, you may send it back to us, or pay our invoice upon receipt. If for any reason the Restaurant Slide Show computer fails to perform, you may send it back to us, but there are no refunds. We'll be able to help with basic troubleshooting before you send it back, and we'll be glad to send a replacement after we've received the broken one. We reserve the right to send a replacement, based on the issue, or replacement requency. Type of customer's business cards We believe in the existence of right and wrong, for this reason we have to filter business cards also; so what kind of business cards do we reject? Anything that displays violence, inmorality, sexuality, and it's of offensive nature to people, in particular children, also anything that's illegal or points people to any of the items listed here, whether that be a physical location or a place on the internet. The list above is not limited, there might be content that's not appropriate, it will be rejected, we'll let you know in writing (email), prior to invoicing you. The amount you pay will be for whatever will be displayed on your TV. We know it's difficult to communicate this to a customer when it happens, but the alternative is worse. Thank you for understanding. What's our goal? At the center of our endeavour is not just to make a living, but also to help other small businesses succeed. Advertising is simply to get the word out, and throughout the years, I've seen many piles of business cards seating on restaurant's front counters, doing nothing, maybe one or two being looked at by a few customers, but what about the rest? And there are some pretty business cards, some people take time to work on their logo design and the business card itself, I believe we must preserve this communication method. Recently I did read somewhere, we're not longer in the information age, we're now in the information management age, to some degree I tend to believe that, the thing about it, is that the information management age began the very moment we were aware of information in our misdst, we were just not overwhelmed by the amount of it. Business cards have been around for a while, on paper, it makes sense in this digital age to bring business cards to the next logical level. So what will really display on the TV Okay, here's the sequence: Slide 1 = Restaurant name and time (no charge) Slide 2 - ?? = Restaurant related images Slide ?? - ?? = Customer's business cards Last slide = JB Digital - Prompting customers to advertise on this TV After the last slide, the system will loop back to the first and repeat. Each slide stays on the screen approx 15 seconds, this time can be changed, but the number of seconds will apply to all the images. Have we missed anything? Please let us know via email if there's something that hasn't been answered here, or what could we do better to have you as our customer, we'll be glad to respond, thank you for stopping by! |
